Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi pleaded guilty to a domestic violence charge. The city Ethics Commission ruled that he had committed "official misconduct." A majority of the Board of Supervisors voted to remove him from office.

But Christina Olague disagreed, and voted to reinstate Mirkarimi.¹
